After falling behind in the match 3-2, Smith bounced back in incredible style to win the next four sets - eventually winning the match 7-4. The win also took 'Bully Boy' to World Number One - not bad for an evening's work!
It was Smith's third time of asking in the World Championship final. But, as the man from St Helen's likes to say; 'never rule out a Saint!'.
"The way I felt when I won will never be topped, no matter what I do in this sport in the future," said an emotional Smith. "To be World Champion and world number one is amazing."
